IN THIS LESSON

In chapters 30-31 Isaiah calls his people to trust in God rather than in worldly alliances and human wisdom. In these chapters, the people of Judah are warned against relying on Egypt for military help, a temptation that reflects their lack of faith in God’s protection and promises. Isaiah rebukes them for their rebellious hearts and self-reliance, urging them to return to God in repentance. Despite their failure, these chapters are filled with hope as God promises to deliver and restore His people, offering comfort and assurance that He will fight for them against their enemies.
